Belgium Visa Requirements and Application Procedures Eligibility

The Belgium Diplomatic or Consular Authorities are responsible for issuing visa to the nationals of various countries.

Who will require a visa?
Nationals of the following countries do not require a visa in order to visit and stay in Belgium for a period of 90 days:

Citizens of all other countries are required to possess a visa to enter into Belgium.
 
Required Necessary Documents:
The following are the necessary documents which are required by every applicant to issue a visa:
•    A passport with 3 months validity
•    Completely filled visa application form
•    Passport sized photographs
•    Completely filled Credit card authorization form
•    Return or onward travel tickets
•    Proof of sufficient funds to bear all expenses during the stay
•    Students willing to pursue education in Belgium must possess conduct certificate, medical certificate and Letter of confirmation issued by the institute
•    Documents related to health, travel and accident insurances along with their photocopies are also required during the issuing of visa

Time required for issue of Visa:
The time required to process and issue a visa can take minimum of 2 days and can also take a maximum of 8 weeks depending upon the nationality and current residential status of the applicant. Applications applied in person take less time in processing than those applied through posts.

Costs involved in issuing visa:
The cost involved in the issue of visa varies according to the type of visa applied by an applicant.
It costs £11 to issue a single entry Tourist and Business visa, whereas a double entry Tourist and Business visa costs around £21.

Validity of Visa:
The validity of visa depends upon the nationality and upon the type of visa. The maximum validity of visa is 90 days and can vary depending upon the discretion of the visa issuing authority.
